The signing of the understanding letter

The signing of the understanding letter was done by EARTH representative Alex Mata and U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Peter M. Brennan. Costa Rican Minister of Science and Technology Maria Eugenia Flores and U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs Dr. Kerry-Ann Jones served as witnesses of honor.

Science Corner To Be Established in Liberia, Costa Rica 

San Jose- October 13, 2009

U.S. Embassy San Jose and EARTH University officially signed the memorandum of understanding for the opening of the Science Corner at the Earth University facility in Liberia, Guanacaste.

The Science Corner’s main objective is to generate innovative ideas promoting development through enthusiasm, social justice, technological innovation and the creation of alternatives to protect the environment.

The $50,000 donation will include books, videos, magazines, access to Internet and organizing future programming.
