Yorkin,Talamanca. "The vision of the women entrepreneurs in Yorkín is impressive. Six years ago, they realized that without a school and a high school in Yorkín, the young people would leave the community for jobs and educational opportunities. So the women organized and built, grade by grade, the Yorkín School and Liceo Rural Yorkín. The educational centers provide to the Bribri the opportunity to preserve their culture, language and, most importantly, to give their young people opportunities within their community."
